Project Pitchfork's new single just arrived and before it's even started playing I'm looking at the inlay and thinking...Tahoma.

I can't be the only one who gets annoyed by MS's screen fonts turning up in printed material?

Especially when it's Verdana, which looks terrible in print.

They're meant to — and do — look good on low resolution devices. When printed I prefer the older fonts like Garamond or Helvetica. Not as clumsy or random as Verdana. A more elegant typeface from a more civilized age.

Indeed - I have a massive soft spot for copperplate and gothic typefaces.

you think that's bad? i got a review copy of the new Bette Midler release entirely in wingdings. And her people are asking what I think! I'm sunk, I'll never work in this town again.

It's OK, but it hasn't made me run in the streets shouting about it's amazingness. Since the single is the same track remixed about 8 million (ok, 8) times it's hard to tell what the album will be like, but I've got it on pre-order anyway.
